“An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Have you heard that phrase before? Of course, you have! That’s because fruits have a lot of health benefits thanks to the vitamins and minerals they contain, so there’s no reason for you not to include them in your daily routine in a fun and tasty way. Bananas, apples, peaches, oranges… These are all common fruits you can find in the supermarket, but have you heard of dragon fruit, starfruit, coconut and others? If yes, this is the moment to discover a new way of eating them; and if not, this is the perfect time to start trying them!

At Macaron Zone, everything is just right! We offer you a delightful experience of delicious and homemade French macarons made with exotic and tropical fruits. We bring our fruits all the way from different parts of the world to offer you interesting and unique flavors such as açai, coconut, grape, mango, pomegranate, cacao, dragon fruit, kiwi, pineapple and starfruit. Let us tell you more about them.

  1. First, let’s talk about açai. Found in South American forests grown in tropical weather, it is full of antioxidants, calcium, fiber and other awesome goodness. According to Medical Health Benefits, the açai can help improve memory and heart health, and prevent cancer. It is a little bit sour with highlights of grape, raspberry and pomegranate flavors.

  2. Speaking of the pomegranate, have you seen a bright red and juicy one? This round fruit with juicy edible seeds is loaded with nutrients and antioxidants which prevent diseases. For this case, we love those seeds!

  3. Now about the coconut - it is found in a lot of tropical countries, and according to BBC Good Food, it is grown in coconut trees, well-known as “Tree of Life”; people use its wood for furniture and its nuts for drinking and eating. Full of antioxidants, it prevents diseases, and besides being delicious and fresh, it is healthy!

  4. And what about grapes? They are usually found around the world, but our French macaron cookies are made with grapes grown in Latin American vineyards, ensuring taste, freshness and irresistible flavor. Jam-packed with nutrients and antioxidants, Healthline states that grapes help avoid diabetes, ensure bone health and promote longevity.

  5. And now the king of fruits as hailed in some countries - the mango. Originally from India and Southeast Asia, it is refreshing and sweet, with low calories and immune-boosting nutrients that support digestive health and lower the risk of certain cancers. To that, we say mango-go-go!

  6. This is one of everyone’s favorite flavors… Did you guess it? It is cacao! Grown in the foothills of the Andes in South America, it offers multiple benefits and nutrients that according to Cacao Now, it enhances muscle growth and strength, and promotes blood flow by regulating blood sugar levels.

  7. What is a dragon fruit? According to Healthline, it is a tropical fruit first grown in Mexico and Central America. Also well known as “pitaya”, it tastes like a pear and kiwi, and is high in fiber and antioxidants.

  8. The kiwi we will now talk about isn’t the bird or the people living in New Zealand. It is the unique fruit originally grown in China, and according to Medical News Today, it is low in calories and high in nutrients, such as vitamin C, which helps in skincare.

  9. You must have heard about the pineapple… Juicy, sour and sweet = delicious! As mentioned by Healthline, this amazing fruit contains nutrients such as vitamin C, manganese, and enzymes, helping to reduce cancer risk and improve immunity.

  10. And last but not least… the starfruit. Native from Southeast Asia but now being produced mainly in Brazil, Colombia and Thailand, Healthline mentions that the starfruit (also known as “carambola”) is a sweet and sour fruit which looks like a star (duh). It is a source of vitamins and nutrients, specifically vitamin C, fiber, vitamin A and others.

Colorful assortment of varied tropical fruits like mangos, and grapes.
